Seven (7) Realities About Stagnant Christians

Seven (7) Realities About Stagnant Christians

1.    They are spiritual babies: they don’t develop the permanent teeth to chew spiritual meats. They therefore still depend on the milk of the word which they can’t even bear now (1st Cor. 3v2)

2.    They show withdrawal signs and symptoms by backsliding: as some people progress upwards, they become tired on their way as a result of the failure to drink out of the cup of endurance. Bible calls them fools (Prov. 26v11). Have you seen any of them before? They are those “who leave the path of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness” Prov. 2v13

3.    They perform only lip services: just like the ancient Pharisees “they profess they know God, but in works, they deny Him…” Titus 1v16. Many we know were called but only few will be chosen. No wonder not everyone who says Lord, Lord shall reach the higher land. Matt. 7v21

4.    They run the devil’s errands: Christian who does not have the traits of steadfastness are easily used by the devil as a siren to beckon others. Satan tries to make use of them by twisting their ears and eyes and sowing into them what was not previously present. One cardinal sign to watch out for in these people is that, their two pairs of errand legs run quick for evil (Prov. 6v18)

5.    They destroy God’s temple: our bodies are the temples of the Lord. A stagnant Christian who tries to mess up his body with sexually perverse acts is trying to write on the uncompleted temple of God in capitals “STOP WORK AND DEMOLISH” This act is more dangerous than taking tools and strong gadgets to bring down the physical chapel we see.

6.    They are Biblical Pharisees: people become stagnant since they love to do their things to be seen by men. They wanted to pray shouting with their personal prayers and be seen and heard praying by people. Once they are not seen, they become unhealthy. Some also love tittles and comfort in the church, not Work and deeds. They never watch out for corrections from people. Once they are denied of the carnal comfort they pursue, two things happen; either they attempt to take it by hooks or to withdraw.

7.     They are pillars of salt: just like the wife of Lot (Gen. 19v26) who disobeyed, many millions of people are turning into huge pillars today. You need nothing but disobedience to convert the flesh, bone and blood components of your body into a stony pillar. The difference is that Lot’s wife is to a physical pillar of salt while today’s disobedient pilgrim is to a spiritual pillar. I tell you the truth, they are real pillars although you see them walking, talking, speaking and behaving like humans.
