The Devil May Plan- But As For Me...

The devil may plan, -But as for me..

Each and every time, Satan stairs
At humans’ action, He devises
Evil plans, plans with which
He entertains himself
To kill, to steal and to destroy
These are the plans of the devil
Who will be our next victim?
He asks after capturing each soul

To kill, yes he meant it, to kill
Just to end precious lives prematurely
This is the business that he had
Employed himself into, some ages now
Knowing very well he’ll no more be
Does not want to perish alone
Wants others to join him die
So mounted an attack of murder

To steal, yes he meant it, to steal
Just to take humans’ fortune by force
For sometime now he started this
But cannot rob the chosen ones
Knowing very well God’s blessing for man
Is jealous and envies this package
Plans to rob us humans
Of something he was not promised of

To destroy, yes he meant it, to destroy
Just to bring about destruction
Families, schools and even churches
Are his targets for sometime now
Knowing very well man’s love for God
Rushes to lobby more polls on his side
And continue his demolition exercise
To bring precious lives into carnality.

He equips his angels day by day
Who rally round to give him reports
And plan with this evil master
To kill, to steal and to destroy
One step two or three they go
Let’s infest them with disobedience
Twisting their ears from their God
Achieving bests through them, they say.

If we plant into them great sins
They will detect and reject them
Let’s start with little ones
Lest they know, we’ll have no soul
There is an idea here, I’ve got
If we should pass through their leaders
Our journey will be short to finish
We will have many in no time

Let us plant confusion and
Irrigate it with ignorance
Let them think what they do is right
Even as their master sees it wrong
Let’s attack the youth of today
Oh no! Can we? Oh yes, we can!
O.K let’s try. Try with the love of money
Right? Then with sexual immorality.

When they want to think of something good
Let’s find them something doing
So that their minds are drawn away
From the so-called purpose of their creation

Who at all is this God
Who talks and the wind stop?
He is trying to deliver many more
From those we gathered to kill.

Who at all is this God
Who disposes if you propose?
He wanted to preserve many treasures
Including those we wanted to steal

Who at all is this God
who grants armour to his children?
He gives them power over all spirits
Even to those we wanted to destroy
Let’s not grow weary at all
Let’s mount more attacks
Alternative ones, and gather the youth
For our butcher’s knives
When they call them for Bible Studies
Make them to give flimsy excuses
When they are called for prayers
Keep them unwilling to attend
If it’s for worldly pleasures
Let them respond with haste
When it is crime, immorality
Quick, let them arise
Hurry, manufacture “violence”
And let them call it “entertainment”
The films, the guns, the condoms
The music, the jams, the football
Ninety minutes first and second halves
Should be a time of excitement
But three minutes in prayer should be
A little boring.
Arise my angels and good luck
Mount the four corners of the world
Let activities go on as I wanted
Then we can kill, steal and destroy.

...BUT AS FOR ME...
My aim in life is to achieve
To grab back what belongs to me
Whatever was promised to me,
This I will work hard to snatch.
Some people think it’s unimportant
To keep striving for your own property
But as for me, I will work all things
Till my good is better and my better best.

In season, out of season I will strive
In hunger or satisfaction, I will thrive
Whether in tears or smiles, I’ll be for God
In sickness or health, he will be for me
Worried or busy? I will make it
Present or absent, I will work it out
The devil may mount thousand ramps
But as for me, my journey is safe.
I have made it my aim to be present
And respond to my call

I have made it my goal to be ready
And sacrifice what I have now
For what I will receive later
Even if it seem too costly
I will still make it my budget
It may look odd before others
But as for me, determined I shall be.

I will pursue truth, honesty
And wisdom shall pursue me
I will ascend with sincerity
And have my feet planted on high
The whole world may bow for Baal
“But as for me, I will walk in my integrity”
Psalm 26v11

Though ramps that I may meet
Thorns and snares that I may see
I have already made my aim
And nothing can change it
Some may seek for goodness elsewhere
“But as for me, I will behold thy face
In righteousness” Psalm 17v15

My feet I will stand in high places
Not in those of low reputation
In settings of eternal promises
Not in those of everlasting destruction.
I asked and I received
I sought and I found
Others may keep searching pleasures and
Treasures, where they are not found
“But as for me, I will seek God and to
God I will commit my cause” Job 5v8.

When ramps appear what ’ll do, I know
Pray to God for direction
When I am worried, I know it too;
Sing songs of praises
Some are ignorant of this
And sought the blank darkness
With the blind eyes they have
“But as for me, my prayer is unto thee God,
In an acceptable time” Psalm 69v1

The world removed God’s poster
Which is up-to date and perfect
And replaced it with its own
Which is incorrect and incoherent
This I hate and will refuse to follow
Since I believe in higher promises
Some may be tired on the journey
To this higher level
But as for me, I will finish well.

Habakkuk 3v9
“The Lord is my strength and will make my feet
Like the hind’ feet. And will make me to walk
Upon mine high places.
To the chief musician on my stringed Instruments” ………….
1.    I ‘m pressing on the upward way
New heights am gaining everyday
Still praying as I onward bound
Lord plant my feet on higher ground

Lord lift me up and let me stand my
By faith on heaven’s table-land
Where love and joy and peace abound
Lord plant my feet on higher ground.

2. My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay
Though some may dwell where these abound
My constant aim is higher ground.

3. Beyond the mist I fain would rise.
To rest beneath unclouded skies
Above earth turmoil peace is found
By those who dwell on higher ground.

4. I long to scale the utmost height
Tho’ rough the way, and hard the fight
My song while climbing shall resound
Lord plant my feet on higher ground.
Lord lead me up the mountain side
I dare not climb without my guide
And heaven gained, I’ll gaze around
With grateful heart from higher ground
